Applications are being accepted for the position of a Preschool-8th grade school principal at Holy Trinity School in Somerset, Ohio for the 2026-2027 school year. Holy Trinity School is established in the Dominican tradition, since 1830, and develops responsible service-oriented individuals, while providing academic excellence in a safe, Catholic environment. The school currently welcomes children from five counties and 12 school districts, with a growing enrollment of approximately 190 students. Nestled in the scenic rolling hills of Southeastern, Ohio, just 50 minutes east of Columbus, Holy Trinity School has nearly 200 years of rich history, in a small, iconic and vibrant historical community. Academic strengths include personalized attention with one class per grade, and a range of staff servicing special education needs. Student services include care before and after school hours, provided for all children enrolled in the school. Of special interest is the school’s newly built expansion providing for a junior high, and preschool, prekindergarten and kindergarten additions.
The position begins July 1, 2026 and due consideration will be given for candidates interested in participating in a time of internship with current leadership.

Candidates must be practicing Catholics and possess a Master’s degree and administrator’s license or be eligible to obtain one. A current FBI/BCI background check, attendance at the VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children seminar and a completed application for the Diocese of Columbus (application found below) must be submitted as part of the application process. Salary is commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience.
